HIERATIS STARGATE & THE LIGHT GENE

Mixed media: Ceramic reliefs, ceramic enamel, acrylics, metals, glass, resin, and electronic components
Dimensions: Triptych, 300 x 165 cm
Year: 2021.

Synopsis:
A female being of light carries a triangle as a star portal, surrounded by beings from other worlds or dimensions.

This completely innovative work in the art world has two approaches:
In its conventional version, it is a work of art with reliefs using Valdif's exclusive technique.

In its recreational or nocturnal version, the electronic components transform it into a source of light and sound, creating an atmosphere of fun, celebration, or meditation.

It is equipped with a Bluetooth system to play your favorite music.

It incorporates LED lights, amplification, and Twitter in the same work, along with an external woofer unit.

In his philosophical approach, the author encountered a big surprise: While finishing the work, he learned about the theories of Colombian professor Willian Criado, an expert in regression hypnosis.
This author has 400 explanatory videos on YouTube. Those familiar with his research will fully understand Valdif's work, as it describes the essence of his theories, even though he was previously unaware of this information.

This could be an unconscious channeling.

Valdif's Statement on The Light Gene / Hieratis Stargat

Unconscious Inspiration
Valdif comments that he already had the work "in his head down to the last detail" long before he saw certain hypnosis videos that deal with very similar stories (stargates, beings of light, reptilians, etc.). What he did was "channel" unconsciously.
Technique and Materials
He uses ceramics, marble sand, resins, metals, light, and sound.
He explains that he has experimented with many styles, from classical to cubist to surrealist, before defining his more personal and mature technique.
He also mentions his previous interest in Arabic bas-reliefs, designs that originate from a central axis from which forms emanate, before moving toward pre-Columbian influences and then abstract surrealism.
Presentation of the work
She presented it in her studio in Gójar (Granada).
Guest artists such as Marijose Muñoz (poetic reading) and Mariquilla (reciting a ballad) participated in the event.
The creative process: it began about two years ago, then had to be interrupted due to other commissions, and resumed after about nine months.
Press and public reception of the work
Local press coverage
The newspaper IDEAL En Clase published a fairly detailed article about the presentation of El Gen Luz. It highlights the technical aspects, the symbolism, the artist's career, and the presentation ceremony.
This review highlights the uniqueness of the style, the combination of techniques, and the striking nature of the work due to its size, weight, materials, etc.
Author's Opinion on the Connection with Viewers
In the same review, Valdif suggests that the work has a spiritual background and experiences that go beyond the purely aesthetic, pointing to the symbolic and the transcendent. The work aims to provoke reflection, emotions, and a connection with the unknown.
Formal Critiques
I didn't find extensive critical reviews from specialized media that offer in-depth analysis (for example, from art theory, comparisons with other contemporary artists, critiques of aesthetics, symbolic coherence, etc.). The most common criticism is the enthusiastic description of the novelty, the visual power, the spirituality.

Biography

Miguel F. Valdivieso — VALDIF
Painter, muralist and ceramicist
Born in Granada, Spain, 1952 — Self-taught

Miguel F. Valdivieso, artistically known as VALDIF, is a multidisciplinary creator whose work encompasses painting, murals, ceramics, and hybrid works combining relief and painting. With a career spanning over four decades, he has developed his own techniques and has exhibited widely both in Spain and internationally. His work is characterized by constant innovation and versatility, moving fluidly between decorative art, abstraction, surrealism, and symbolic explorations.
Artistic Development

  • 1980s–1990s — Marble sand murals: Around 1980, he developed a personal technique using marble sands, producing murals and large decorative works.
  • 1992 — Ceramic workshop: He opened his own ceramic studio, which became a turning point in his career, enabling him to create friezes and large-format ceramic pieces.
  • 1992–2011 — Oriental and Arabic-inspired friezes: He produced a long series of works inspired by Andalusian and oriental decorative traditions, evolving them into new geometrical and contemporary expressions.

From 2009 — “Sculpto-paintings”: He introduced hybrid works fusing ceramic reliefs (glazed and fired) with traditional painted backgrounds, bridging the boundaries between sculpture and painting.
Themes & Style
His works explore geometry, minerals, organic matter, esoteric and symbolic imagery, often combined with a strong decorative element that adapts well to architectural and mural formats. Some series also reflect his personal research into “psychic channeling” as part of the creative process.
